An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 struck Iran’s capital Tehran on Wednesday, state television said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
This is the third significant earthquake incident to hit Iran since mid-November, with an episode of three quakes striking the country almost simultaneously on December 1.
The previous earthquakes have destroyed villages and in some instances claimed a number of lives.
