DUBAI // A woman has died and five people left injured in two separate traffic accidents on Sunday.
The first took place just after midnight after two cars collided on Emirates Road heading towards Dubai.
Col Saif Al Mazrouei, director of traffic at Dubai Police, said the crash left one woman dead and three other passengers in the car - all children - injured.
The driver of the other vehicle was also injured and all were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The second incident occured at 4pm after a concrete-mixing truck crashed due to speeding.
The driver was hospitalised with serious injuries.
