SHARJAH // An unlicensed doctor has been arrested for treating patients for diabetes from a hotel room.
Sharjah Police arrested a 58-year-old Pakistani man that entered the country on a visit visa after receiving notification from the Ministry of Health in Sharjah.
The doctor was captured while treating patients by the police who were monitoring his activities at the time.
A team of officers from CID arrested the doctor while treating a patient inside a hotel room.
According to the police, the doctor charged his patients Dh500, and sold them medicine without having a license to practice inside the country.
Large amounts of medicine were seized inside the hotel room where he carried out his activities.
Police referred the doctor to Sharjah Public Prosecution to face trial.
