ABU DHABI // Strong winds will cause poor visibility across the country and rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf at the beginning of this week.
Forecasters predict wind speeds will reach up to 50 kph onshore today resulting in decreased visibility due to blown sand and dust.
The north-westerly winds will be stronger offshore with speeds of about 65 kph, leading to waves as high as 4.5 metres in the Arabian Gulf.
Temperatures will range between 14°C to 30°C inland and 19°C to 28°C in coastal areas.
Windy conditions are also forecast on Tuesday with the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology warning the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman will continue to be rough.
