UAE weather: Scattered clouds and rain expected

ABU DHABI // Cloudy and windy weather is set to continue on Wednesday with some parts of the country witnessing rain and a slight dip in temperatures.

Temperatures are expected to vary between 18°C and 28°C in internal areas, 19°C and 27°C in coastal areas and 14°C to 21°C in mountain areas. Wind speed is likely to be around 40-45 km per hour.

Light rain fell on Tuesday night in certain parts of Dubai and Al Hamra. Cloud cover will continue to increase over different areas during the day with some towering clouds and rainfall expected, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

Forecasters predict that cloud cover will decrease by evening. The sea is expected to be rough during the day and extremely choppy by night in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough by night in the Oman Sea.

There is a chance of fog on Thursday as relative humidity is set to increase during the night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.

The centre predicted that the cloudy and moderate weather conditions will continue until Friday.

The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 34.7°C in Um Azimul at 4.45 pm.The lowest temperature recorded was 9.1°C on Jebel Jais at 7.15am.
