DUBAI // Mist and fog were reported over parts of the UAE this morning, reducing visibility to as low as 50 metres in some areas.
Fog was reported over Sweihan and Liwa early on Wednesday, and mist at Al Maktoum International Airport, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
Other parts of the country are expected to have partly cloudy and hazy weather, with some low clouds expected to develop in the east. Moderate winds will freshen at times, causing dust, with a maximum speed of 36 kilometres per hour in internal areas and 34 kph in coastal and mountain areas.
Temperatures could rise up to 49ºC in the internal areas of the country, but not more than 36ºC to 40ºC in coastal and mountainous areas, the centre said. Relative humidity will increase during the night and early morning hours over some coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog and mist formation, particularly westward.
Humidity will reach up to 95 per cent and in mountainous areas it will reach about 65 per cent. Sea will be slight to moderate, rough during the morning northwards in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
