The country remained grey and overcast on Monday as the effects of Friday’s sandstorm lingered on but in spite of the grey skies, temperatures in the cities still reached around 38 degrees.
Overnight, the lowest recorded temperatures - 21.5 degrees - were found at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah.
Weather experts predicted more clouds over the eastern and mountainous regions by afternoon with a small chance of rainfall.
Humidity is expected to rise on Monday evening and through the night leading to some possible mist around coastal areas by Tuesday morning.
