UAE to set up an embassy in the Maldives

An embassy is to be established in the Maldives as part of a series of directives issue by President Sheikh Khalifa.

Federal Decree 105 will see the embassy set in Male, the capital of the Indian Ocean nation.

President Khalifa also ratified an agreement with Russia for industrial, technical and scientific cooperation between civil industry companies and another agreement with Tajikistan.

Other degrees see the UAE sign up to the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods which also includes accession Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road and Protocol.
