RAS AL KHAIMAH // Work on the Hamra Island Road in Ras Al Khaimah will begin in January.
The project will connect Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road with the old Ittihad Road. It is a complement to the intersection of Martyrs Road, which is being carried out by the emirate’s Ministry of Public Works.
Dr Abdullah Belheif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works, said this is one of the main intersections that connect UAE regions with the Oman sea and areas along the Arabian Gulf.
The ministry carried out the first phase of the project, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National.
