RAS AL KHAIMAH // A 42-year-old Emirati woman was killed on Monday when her car swerved into the path of an oncoming lorry.
The car then veered into a road barrier and caught fire.
The driver of the other vehicle, an Asian man, 31, was unharmed although his lorry overturned.
Emergency services arrived on the scene to find that the woman had already died.
The case was referred to relevant authorities for further investigations.
Colonel Yacoub Abdullah Al Haddad, chief of the Daqdaqa police station, urged all motorists to observe traffic regulations and speed limits to always remain in control of their vehicles.
