Two 19-year-old Emiratis were killed when the car they were travelling in crashed in Ras Al Khaimah at the weekend.
The two men, the driver and passenger, were driving on Saih Al Bana street in the direction of Dawar on Friday night. The car was speeding when the driver lost control of the vehicle and suddenly swerved and rolled multiple times before crashing on the side of the road.
Both men were thrown from the vehicle in the crash and died at the scene, said Colonel Ali Saleem Alaalkim, head of the Traffic and Patrols Department at the General Command of RAK Police Central Operations.
Colonel Alaalkim conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and urged road users to observe speed limits and pay attention to the road while driving.
