A 33-year-old Emirati and his 14 year old son, along with 3 Asian men, were injured in a collision between two cars on Al Rams road in Ras Al Khaimah.
Colonel Saeed Ali Al Alkeem, director of the Traffic and Patrols Deaprtment at Ras Al khaimah Police, said the accident was caused by a vehicle failing to stay in lane. Two of the Asians, aged 26 and 23 years old, suffered medium injuries, while the third, a 26-year-old, was seriously hurt.
Police patrols, ambulances and rescue vehicles were dispatched to the scene and the injured were transported to hospitals in RAK.
Colonel Al Alkeem urged road users to abide by traffic rules and regulations, to comply with speed limits, leave enough space between vehicles and to make sure the road is clear before changing lanes.
