ABU DHABI // Paid parking will be introduced to several areas in the capital after the Eid Al Adha holiday.
Parking meters have been installed in the square opposite Adec, the Ministry of Resources and Emiratisation and near the Directorate of Naturalisation and Residence, reported Aletihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National.
The parking fee is Dh2 per hour and Dh15 for the day. Parking supervisors will be assigned to the areas to ensure motorists have paid the correct fee.
Paid parking has also recently been activated near the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department building as part of a move to tackle the space shortage and improve traffic flow, over the next three years, the Department of Transport said.
