Abu Dhabi launches free bus service to Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival

Buses will leave Abu Dhabi's main terminal between 3pm and 6pm

Abu Dhabi has launched a free public bus service to this year's Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, which gets under way on November 20.

The emirate's Integrated Transport Centre on Tuesday said the buses will depart Abu Dhabi's main terminal every hour from 3pm to 6pm.

Return services from the venue in Al Wathba will be available from 5pm until 10pm.

Buses will stop at the Bain Al Jessrain Co-operative Society Supermarket and Bani Yas Bus Station during their trip in both directions.

The festival will runs until February 20 and the entry fee is set at Dh5, which can also be paid online..

Wearing of face masks and maintaining physical distance are mandatory. Staff and participating vendors will have to take Covid-19 tests.

There is a Dh5 entry fee and people can pay at the front door or book online.
Taxis will also be available at the venue.

The festival is open from 4pm to 11pm and on weekends until midnight. For more information visit www.zayedfestival.com.

Kat Wightman's tips on how to create zones in large spaces

  • Area carpets or rugs are the easiest way to segregate spaces while also unifying them.
  • Lighting can help define areas. Try pendant lighting over dining tables, and side and floor lamps in living areas.
  • Keep the colour palette the same in a room, but combine different tones and textures in different zone. A common accent colour dotted throughout the space brings it together.
  • Don’t be afraid to use furniture to break up the space. For example, if you have a sofa placed in the middle of the room, a console unit behind it will give good punctuation.
  • Use a considered collection of prints and artworks that work together to form a cohesive journey.

How to come clean about financial infidelity
  • Be honest and transparent: It is always better to own up than be found out. Tell your partner everything they want to know. Show remorse. Inform them of the extent of the situation so they know what they are dealing with.
  • Work on yourself: Be honest with yourself and your partner and figure out why you did it. Don’t be ashamed to ask for professional help.
  • Give it time: Like any breach of trust, it requires time to rebuild. So be consistent, communicate often and be patient with your partner and yourself.
  • Discuss your financial situation regularly: Ensure your spouse is involved in financial matters and decisions. Your ability to consistently follow through with what you say you are going to do when it comes to money can make all the difference in your partner’s willingness to trust you again.
  • Work on a plan to resolve the problem together: If there is a lot of debt, for example, create a budget and financial plan together and ensure your partner is fully informed, involved and supported.
