The development of the Ras Al Khaimah Ring Road is nearing completion and will open next year, the Ministry of Public Works has announced.
DrAbdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Public Works, said the Ministry of Public Works had completed 70 per cent of the ring road and started to work on the expansion of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road by adding a third lane in each direction near the entrance to the city.
Dr Al Nuaimi, who was speaking during a inspection of Northern Emirates and the Eastern Region, also said the area's dams should be regularly maintained and developed to ensure people are safe and protect their property from rainfall, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National.
