Authorities in Fujairah are looking for a man who went missing more than a week ago in the mountains of Dibba.

The man, aged 32 and from a Gulf country, was reported missing on Thursday.

His brother told Dibba Police Department that he had gone to the mountains a week prior but had yet to return.

The brother reported him as missing after he lost contact with him.

Dibba Police assembled a team, including members of the National Centre for Search and Rescue, Civil Defence and volunteers from the area, who have been searching for the man in the mountains for the past three days.

Col Saif Al Zahmi, director of Dibba Police Department, said search operations are yet under way and will not cease until the missing man is found.

No further details were released by police.
