Son arrested after his father is stabbed to death in Sharjah

SHARJAH // A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his father to death.

The 36-year-old Pakistani man was arrested in Kalba, in the eastern region of Sharjah, on Saturday.

The father was admitted to the intensive care unit at Kalba Hospital suffering from a critical stab wound in the chest but he later died.

Sharjah Police were called to the hospital at 12.05am on Sunday after the father had arrived in hospital.

Police said that the son got into an argument with his father at their home before the 36-year-old allegedly stabbed his father with a knife and then ran away.

Police search teams tracked him down and arrested him a short while later.
