DUBAI // A Pakistani man died from head injuries suffered in a mass brawl at a lorry drivers’ cafe, Dubai Criminal Court heard on Monday.
Three Pakistani man are charged with causing the victim’s death by attacking him with cricket bats and iron bars on April 24.
Four other compatriots are charged with assault and insulting one another.
Police said the fight broke out at a cafe stop on Abu Dhabi-bound carriageway of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to Abu Dhabi. The cause of the fight was not mentioned in court.
Medical records showed the victim suffered a fractured skull and multiple wounds to his body.
All seven men denied the charges in court on Monday.
The next hearing will be on August 29.
