Lord Mayor of London hails Dubai as leader in Gulf

The Lord Mayor of London on Monday hailed Dubai as a leading light in the diversification of the Gulf economies.

Alan Yarrow, chancellor of City University London, praised Dubai’s educational investment after speaking of a mutual exchange of talent, ideas and capital between Dubai and the UK.

“Dubai is not just a thriving, diverse economy, but also one that invests in its greatest asset – its people,” he said. “London and the rest of the UK have seen the benefits when up-skilling its workforce and Dubai fully recognises how this can help support economic growth.”
