The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has concluded its humanitarian assistance programme to help people affected by floods in Malawi, state news agency WAM reported.
An official source in the Foundation said it implemented an aid programme for the second consecutive year and provided more than 2,000 tonnes of corn, in addition to a large amount of medical supplements and materials to more than 650,000 people in different areas of Malawi.
The source explained that Peter Mutharika, the Malawi President, while receiving the Khalifa Foundation team in Malawi’s capital city, Lilongwe, praised the humanitarian assistance as well as the many important contributions provided by the UAE.
