An initiative to accelerate the employment of 1,000 national service recruits in the private sector kicked off on Wednesday at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company.
The 100-day initiative is organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in co-operation with the National Service Authority.
Twenty-one companies took part on the open day and offered over 213 jobs in sales, customer service, engineering, programming and managerial roles.
Open days are organised on four phases, the first of which is adding job seekers to a smart system that allows them to choose three work opportunities.
The second phase educates job seekers about the importance of the available opportunities and ensures their readiness for work. They undergo training about job interview skills as part of the third phase.
