The first one-day international between India and Australia has been abandoned due to rain in Kochi.

The heavy downpour saturated the pitch and forced proceedings to be called off without a ball being bowled at Nehru Stadium.

The second match will be played at Vishakapatnam on Wednesday before the three-match series concludes in Goa on Sunday.
