An awareness campaign for women students and mothers will be held at University Hospital Sharjah from November 7-10.

The campaign will tackle issues related to breast feeding, and will be supervised by specialists in maternity, paediatrics, physiotherapy, and other specialities.

“This campaign aims to support first time mothers and enhance baby health and development,” said Carol Rose, acting director of Nursing at UHS.

“We are going to cover topics pertaining to breast feeding in this campaign, and we will offer all possible support to mothers via question and answer sessions that are planned with each activity.

“The campaign will also cover proper nutritional planning for working mothers and female students, while the physiotherapy department will present a number of important exercises that mothers should take up during pregnancy and after delivery.”
