DUBAI // Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, chairwoman of Dubai Healthcare City Authority and wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated a new hospital on Thursday.
After unveiling a plaque, Princess Haya was given a tour of the facilities at the Medcare Women & Children Hospital.
Ziham Moopen, director, said the hospital was the first tertiary healthcare facility in the UAE to be 90 per cent staffed by women.
“As a hospital dedicated to women and children, we aim to empower the women of the UAE with good health, so that they can in turn ensure that their families and communities are healthy and happy too,” said Ms Moopen.
