Abu Dhabi Municipality has carried out more than 300 inspections of hair salons, barber shops, coffee shops and gyms as well as other public areas during Ramadan to ensure they are following health and safety rules, the municipality has announced.
The inspections were also intended to verify that businesses were following the smoking ban for closed spaces.
There were 308 inspection visits conducted in Al Wathba, Bani Yas, Al Shawamekh, Shakhbut City and Al Mafraq, where 75 warnings and were issued for breaches, officials said.
