Coronavirus: UAE records 2,112 Covid-19 cases

Three people died as another 2,191 patients recovered

The UAE recorded 2,112 Covid-19 infections on Thursday, its first daily increase in case numbers for four days.

The latest figures brought the overall tally to 478,131.

Active cases remain on the decline, however, after recoveries exceeded new infections once more.

An additional 2,191 recoveries were reported, raising the total to 463,032.

The death toll is 1,523, following three further fatalities.

Another 249,014 tests were carried out.

More than 39.5 million tests have been conducted to date.

The number of active cases across the Emirates dropped to 13,579.
