Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority is carrying out a series of inspection visits on establishments operating in the Western Region. The inspection drives will continue until the end of the summer to verify the safety of all food products sold to consumers and to ensure strict adherence to the authority’s health and safety regulations.
Adfca began its inspection visits in Madinat Zayed, the port, Tarif and Liwa. Fourteen inspectors from various specialisations inspected 140 food establishments. Twelve warnings were issued and seven kilograms of food were destroyed. During a second drive in Al Sila and Gweifat, 59 establishments were visited, 47 warnings were issued and 79 kilograms of food destroyed.
