The Zayed Housing Programme has plans to issue 7,000 decisions for residential property in 2015, according to the director, Jameela Al Fandi.
The amount collected from loan deductions until last year was Dh1.2 billion. Ms Al Fandi told Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National, that the demand for residential complexes varied among emirates with 80 per cent of Al Etihad Residential Complex in Sharjah sold compared to 50 per cent for Khalifa Residential Complex in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.
In Ajman, 80 per cent of the Ajman complex, still under construction, was sold. She said the programme issued 6,732 residential subsidisation decisions last year valued at Dh3.59bn in addition to 1,560 subsidisation decisions under the national agenda plan.
