ABU DHABI // The UAE last night expressed its support for Saudi Arabia’s decision to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the decision had come at an important time in Saudi Arabia’s history, with threats to its stability and its aspirations for unity of its peoples.
“The UAE will not spare any effort to bolster the cooperation with our brothers in Saudi Arabia to tackle those terrorist groups through liquidating all forms of material and moral support,” the ministry said.
Doing so, it said, “requires concerted efforts and joint collective work to address the security and stability challenges that threaten the destiny of the Arab and Muslim nation”.
The ministry called for solidarity and cooperation from all states to reinforce Saudi Arabia’s decision to “keep sedition at bay”.
