The UAE will never forget those who offered contributions in the service of the nation and will always be highly appreciated, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, said at a ceremony on Sunday to honour former ministers of education and justice and the former governor of the Central Bank.

“We have nothing called retirement in the UAE, and the service of the nation is a whole life as we all dedicate our lives for the service of the UAE,” Sheikh Mohammed said on Sunday, reported Wam, the state news agency.

The honorees were Obeid Mohammed Al Qattami, who served as minister of education from 2006 to 2009 and as minister of education from 2009 to 2014, Dr Haded Al Dhehri, minister of justice from 2008 to 2014, and Sultan Nasser Al Suwaidi, governor of the Central Bank from 1991 to 2014.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed, on behalf of the President, Sheikh Khalifa, and the UAE people, profound thanks to the honorees for the effort and time they spent in the service and urged them to continue their contribution to the Government through communication, advice and work.
