DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has hailed the results of a pan-Arab survey in which the region's youth voted the UAE as the best place to live and for their home countries to emulate.

The findings marked the fourth year that the Emirates was named the top county to live in by the majority of 3,500 people, aged 18 to 24, in 16 nations, polled in the annual Arab Youth Survey.

On Tuesday, via Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed said: “I am not mentioning these results to gloat. But it is a developmental experience we have lived, and [the report] is available for whoever wants to study it and take advantage of it.

“Our goal is to achieve welfare for all people.”

Asda’a Burson-Marsteller, a communications firm commissioned the report, published on Tuesday. Polling was carried out by Penn Schoen Berland.
