Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana in the capital on Monday.

Mr Akufo-Addo was welcomed to Qasr Al Watan with an official reception ceremony complete with a military display.

He and Sheikh Mohamed then held a meeting where they discussed issues of mutual interest and ways to increase co-operation between the UAE and Ghana that most benefit their respective citizens.

"I was pleased to meet with President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana and discussed with him ways to strengthen cooperation as well as all issues of mutual interest," Sheikh Mohamed said on Twitter. "We have a common will to develop our relations in all fields."

The pair then witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between both countries that seek to "develop mechanisms of joint action to achieve our goal of strengthening co-operation," Sheikh Mohamed said.
