DUBAI // The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation met the Latvian president on Sunday in Dubai.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed discussed cooperation in political, economic, trade, tourism, education and food security issues, during the meeting with president Raimonds Vejonis.
Sheikh Abdullah said he was looking forward to strengthening ties through partnership opportunities in different sectors, reported Wam, the state news agency.
Mr Vejonis said his country was keen on opening new horizons for partnership with the UAE and praised its leadership.
Arvils Aseradens, Latvian economy minister and deputy prime minister, and Hanan Al Alili, UAE Ambassador to Latvia, also attended the meeting.
