Sheikh Saud bin Rashid, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, at his palace in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Saud and Sheikh Nahyan exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. Sheikh Nahyan also received the Islamic scholars who are visiting the UAE during the holy month of Ramadan as guests of His Highness the President Sheikh Khalifa.

The Zayed Humanitarian Forum has announced the launch of the first mobile hospital for paediatric cardiology in Africa in accordance with sophisticated devices for open-heart surgeries and catheter operations. The hospital will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive services for needy children with congenital heart anomalies, starting with Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea under the supervision of a group of voluntary senior doctors and surgeons.
The Ministry of Economy has opened Al Fanoos Fair at Mushrif Mall to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with a platform to showcase and market their products and services. Advisor to the minister of economy, Mohammed Saleh Shilwah, who opened the fair, said the ministry is working with its strategic partners from the private and public sectors to organise at least eight other fairs for national SMEs in the UAE and overseas by the end of 2016.
