National service recruits take a well-deserved break

Training began on August 30 for the country's first national service recruits.

National service recruits have taken their first break since starting basic training on August 30.

They will resume duties on Saturday, Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National reported.

The basic training drew a large response from recruits who were already familiar with the nature of the programme, from the theoretical to the hands-on aspects, said the National Service and Reserves Authority (NSRA).

The authority also called on the second batch of recruits to complete the required paperwork at their nearest registration centre.
