The youth now have more opportunities to engage in politics thanks to new programmes introduced by the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Higher Colleges of Technology.

The ministry’s undersecretary, Tariq Lootah, and HCT’s vice chancellor, Dr Tayeb Kamali, signed an agreement on Sunday that will see both sides working to build a society of political participation and awareness through conferences, seminars, exchange of expertise and joint research projects.

The initiative reflects the Rulers’ keenness on activating the role of the FNC within society and improve parliamentary life.

“Cooperation with the Ministry of FNC Affairs strengthens the role of educational institutions in preparing qualified citizens, in line with the key developmental pillars, by offering students the opportunity to embrace a culture of political awareness and motivating them to proactively participate in the UAE’s development march,” said Dr Kamali.
