The President, Sheikh Khalifa, has bestowed the First Class Independence Order on the director-general of the Arab Labour Organisation, Ahmed Mohammed Luqman, in recognition to his outstanding services to joint Arab action.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, welcomed Mr Luqman to the Presidential Palace yesterday and presented him with the honour, reported Wam, the state news agency.
Sheikh Mansour congratulated Mr Luqman and commended his contribution at Arab and international levels.
During the meeting, he also stressed the important role of the Arab Labour Organisation in boosting the march of joint Arab action.
Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, also attended the meeting.
