ABU DHABI // A British parliamentarian met with Mohammed Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council, state news agency Wam said on Tuesday.
Alistair Burt, member of the UK House of Commons, and Mr Al Murr discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary cooperation, regional developments, and the influential role of media and social-networking sites.
Mr Burt said his visit was part of research to provide assistance to senior officials, parliamentarians and legislative institutions.
