Coronavirus: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed discusses Covid-19 fight with Iranian minister

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, held talks with his Iranian counterpart to discuss efforts to combat Covid-19.

Sheikh Abdullah and Javad Zarif reviewed the strategies of both nations to limit the spread of the virus during a video call, state news agency Wam reported.

They emphasised the importance of supporting the global drive to develop a vaccine.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the need to bolster international co-operation to overcome the public health crisis.

He reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with other nations in their fight against the virus.

The men also exchanged Eid Al Adha greetings during their online discussion.
