Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed receives call from Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received a phone call from Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines, on Tuesday.

Mr Duterte expressed his country's condemnation of the Houthi terrorist attack on the UAE and said they were contrary to all international norms and laws.

He stressed his country's solidarity and support for the UAE in maintaining its security and territorial integrity.

Mr Duterte also thanked the UAE for the support provided to his country's health establishments. which helped in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said that the Philippines was keen to boost co-operation with the UAE in various sectors.

The pair also spoke about relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Mohamed thanked Mr Duterte for his country's solidarity with the UAE. He wished prosperity for the Philippines and its people.
