Extra buses and taxis in Dubai over Eid holidays

Extra buses and taxis will operate from malls next week to cope with the influx of visitors over the Eid Al Adha holidays.

DUBAI // All paid parking zones in Dubai will be free of charge during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Parking will still need to be paid for at the Fish Market and the Multi-level parking, Dubai Media Office tweeted on Tuesday.

Extra buses and taxis will also be operating from malls next week to cope with the influx of visitors from September 11 to 17.

Maitha Bin Adai, chief executive of the RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, said the move aimed to improve traffic flow during the holiday.

“In case of higher demand for taxicabs in Dubai Mall, a bus route will be activated to lift riders to Deira City Centre Metro Station, BurJuman Station where more taxis will be available at those locations,” she said.

A bus parking area has been allocated at the Address Hotel and Lafayette Hotel and at Burj Khalifa Metro Station in case it is difficult to park at the two designated areas during peak hours.
