The Emirates Red Crescent will help three Syrian refugees complete their higher education in Jordan by covering the cost of their tuition.
Ali Al Dhaheri, director general of the joint UAE-Jordanian camp in Jordan, and Abdullah Al Shehhi, deputy director of the camp, helped the students, who have passed the summer 2015 bachelor’s programme examinations to complete their registration for the university.
The students, two women and one man, will study pharmacy, English and civil engineering respectively at the Zarqa Private University in Jordan.
Currently there are 6,322 people at the UAE-Jordanian camp. The camp opened in Mrajeeb Al Fhood, and welcomed the first group of 110 Syrians in 2013.
