The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi has received an award for organisations that foster innovation in the use of geographical information systems technology.
The agency was selected for the award by an international panel, state news agency Wam said.
Ahmed Baharoon, executive director of the Environmental Science, Information and Outreach Sector, said it has been using the technology for more than two decades.
