The UAE’s heat wave continues, with temperatures expected to hit 45°C on Wednesday.

The mercury reached 44.6°C on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafrah region, which borders Saudi Arabia.

That is well above the monthly average of 28°C, according to figures from the National Centre of Meteorology.

Temperatures will also be high on the coast, reaching 43°C in some areas, 41°C in Abu Dhabi city and 39°C in Dubai.

It could be partly cloudy over some areas, too.

Winds will be light to moderate, picking up at times, blowing dust during the day.

It will remain hot and dusty for the rest of the week.
