DUBAI // A two-day conference is to look at how children with special needs can be integrated into schools.

Teachers, experts, supervisors and administrators at rehabilitation centres will come together to analyse the local, regional and global challenges on the issue.

The event has been organised by Ishara Consultants under the patronage of the Al Maktoum Charity foundation and will take place on March 7 and 8.

Also in attendance will be students’ learning support groups and education experts.

Maalainine Salama, managing director at Ishara Consultants, said those taking part will debate best practice, strategies and the latest methods and look at the importance of integration in delivering educational reforms and reducing the gap between theory and practice.

Officials from the Ministry of Education will also participate in the conference.
