DUBAI// The 19th annual Dubai International Holy Quran Award concluded on Saturday evening, reported Wam.
The event, which ran for 20 days and brought 76 contestants together from around the world, was held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The five-member arbitration committee had earlier disqualified seven memorisers for showing poor performance.
The winners in the memorisation and most beautiful recitation categories will be revealed during an award ceremony to be held at the Cultural and Scientific Association, in Al Mamzar, on Wednesday, July 15.
