Essam Al Humaidan, Dubai’s attorney general, has ordered the detention of everyone accused of involvement in the killing of Adnan Abdul Majid, a 25-year-old Emirati.
Abdul Majid was stabbed to death with swords and knives in Al Warqaa area of Dubai on Monday.
The defendants have been charged with premeditated murder.
Abdul Majid, a civil servant, was with two friends when five men allegedly attacked them. The pair were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
