ABU DHABI // The Western Region Municipality has completed shoreline protection measures and the building of a corniche in coastal areas of Dalma City.
Atiq Al Mazrouei, the municipality’s acting director general, said the rock revetment work was carried out along 674 metres at a cost of more than Dh23 million.
The aim is to protect Dalma City beaches from erosion and keep the marine environment clean.
The project also included a corniche with green spaces, gardens and playgrounds.
An aim of the developments is to promote tourism in Dalma.
