DUBAI // A man has forged 16 work permits and sold them for a total of Dh76,000, a court heard today.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance has charged TH, 29, of Pakistan, with forgery and fraud.

Prosecutors said TH defrauded an executive director identified as N KH, also from Pakistan, of Dh68,000 by giving him 16 fake work permits.

TH reportedly faked the permits, for which he charged Dh6,000 each and sold them to N KH.

The permits were discovered after the victim realised that two copies of the supposedly same visa had different serial numbers. He took his suspicions to a typing office, which confirmed that the visas were fake.
