Do good in life and life will end well, today's sermon reminds worshippers.
Achieving a "good ending" to life has been a priority for prophets and religious figures since the creation of humanity, the sermon points out.
"A worshipper is dependent on his actions, if he did good he will receive good, and if he does evil he will receive evil, and the value of his actions reflects in his ending," says the sermon.
To highlight the importance of working towards a good ending, a number of prophets are quoted in the Quran. The prophet Jacob is quoted as saying: "O my sons! Lo! Allah hath chosen for you the (true) religion; therefore die not, save as men who have surrendered (unto Him)."
Being pious and honest with Allah can help Muslims to achieve a good ending.
Honest people are those who do not act differently in public than they do in private. Those who do act differently and "cross what Allah has prohibited" have forgotten that Allah is watching, says the sermon.
Committing to good deeds will result in a good ending, it says, adding that "one who lives doing something, dies doing it too".

Muslim Council of Elders condemns terrorism on religious sites
The Muslim Council of Elders has strongly condemned the criminal attacks on religious sites in Britain.
It firmly rejected “acts of terrorism, which constitute a flagrant violation of the sanctity of houses of worship”.
“Attacking places of worship is a form of terrorism and extremism that threatens peace and stability within societies,” it said.
The council also warned against the rise of hate speech, racism, extremism and Islamophobia. It urged the international community to join efforts to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
